Our New Zealand Kiko goats love winter and enjoy getting out in the snow. They are also very social and love having a visitor, like our grandaughter, to entertain them.
Fun information about Kiko goats!
The word Kiko comes from the Maori word for “meat”. They breed was developed in the 1980s and came to the US in the 1990s. Unlike other meat goat breeds, the Kiko goat does well in the US and specifically in Kentucky due to the simliar climate and land of New Zealand. They have a higher degree of parasite resistance/resilience and fewer hoof and respiratory issues. We love our Kiko goats and know you will too!
